Colorful Correspondence

Ah, the long lost art of letter writing and corresponding through the mail.. Definitely not lost with this girly girl when there's so many pretty candy colored stationery's to choose from nowadays, h'm.

The one's above from this company.

When I was growing up I remember how much I loved to sit and write letters to friends that had moved away. My best friend Linda would send me letters on smiley faced paper, and I just loved reading and receiving her letters filling me in on all that had happened to her and her family.

Then about that same time, the seventy's, scented stationary, really loved that being a fragrance girl from way back you see.

Now I'm pondering thoughts like, who could I send a letter to right now so I can use this cheery flower petal colored papier? Who??

Enjoy caring and sharing days.

  1. Oh its gorgeous, I havent seen any like that here!I had many penpals when I was a teenager, I was very particular about my writing, and sometimes Id rewrite them, if they werent neat enough!
You can write to me if you like, Id love to receive a letter from you!

  2. Can just see those as labels or tags on some new project of your's soon, they are lovely.

  3. I think it's sad that we don't send letters to one another anymore. It's so much more personal when you see the person's handwriting. I cherish the old letters that my grandma kept from all her friends and relatives. Kids today won't have those keepsakes. Twyla

  4. Twyla,

I totally agree. The moment you receive a letter, and then opening it, then sitting down to read its contents, little things that make life fun.
I believe letter writing will make its way back soon.

  5. Real letters and cards are so much nicer, with all the creative options we have these days there is no need to resort to the e-card.

Can't cruise blogs from the office right now and bittersweet comments is optioned out from the home computer.

Got to say Bittersweet new blog banner is looking pretty cool and looks like you had a fab time at the markets.

  6. Mandy,

I agree, I cherish written letters.
Hopefully they won't take cusive writing out of our schools.
Can you imagine our Grandchildren not being able to read cursive?
